Ad-PixFlow Settings and Notes

This guide provides a brief explanation of the various settings in Ad-PixFlow.

DPI (Workflow Edit Screen)

DPI (Dots Per Inch) is a value that represents the number of pixels per inch. Ad-PixFlow uses this value to convert between millimeters (mm) and pixels (px).

Important: Setting a higher DPI will not improve the image quality beyond that of the original image. Please set an appropriate DPI value that matches the intended use of your image.

Show Preview (Workflow Edit Screen)

If you turn this option off, the preview screen that appears at the end of the workflow process will be skipped.

Resize (Workflow Edit Screen, Filter)

This filter changes the size of the image.

  • Scale: Enlarges or reduces the image based on the specified magnification.
  • Height, Width: Resizes the image to the specified height or width in pixels.
  • Longest Edge: Resizes the longest edge of the image to the specified number of pixels. The shorter side is automatically adjusted to maintain the aspect ratio.
  • Stretch (Ignore Aspect Ratio): Resizes the image to the specified dimensions, ignoring the aspect ratio.

Rotate (Workflow Edit Screen, Filter)

This filter rotates the image.

  • Specify Direction: Select the direction of rotation (e.g., 90 degrees right, 90 degrees left, etc.).
  • Manual: If you select "Manual," the image will be displayed during workflow execution, allowing the user to set the rotation angle directly.

Manual Crop (Workflow Edit Screen, Filter)

This filter allows the user to manually specify the crop area from the displayed image.

  • Free-form: Allows you to set the crop area freely without any constraints. You can specify the crop area by moving the handles, and you can move the crop position by dragging the center of the crop area.
  • Aspect Ratio: Crops the image while maintaining a fixed aspect ratio.
  • Fixed Size: Crops the image to a fixed size. You can move the crop position by dragging the center of the crop area.

Auto Crop (Workflow Edit Screen, Filter)

This filter automatically crops the image to a predetermined size.

  • Center: Crops the image from the center to the specified dimensions.
  • Custom: Select this option if you want to crop from a position other than the center. The position is specified relative to the top-left corner of the screen.

Canvas Placement (Workflow Edit Screen, Filter)

This filter creates a new canvas and places the current image onto it.

  • Placement Positions: Specifies the X and Y coordinates to place the image. You can specify multiple coordinates to place the same image multiple times.
  • Placement Mode:
    • Original Size: Places the image without resizing it.
    • Contain: Scales the image down, maintaining its aspect ratio, so that it fits entirely within the specified width and height.
    • Cover: Scales the image up or down, maintaining its aspect ratio, to completely cover the specified width and height area. Parts of the image may be cropped.

SVG Overlay (Workflow Edit Screen, Filter)

This filter overlays a vector image in SVG format onto the current image.

  • SVG Content: Input the SVG data to be overlaid. You can also directly import an SVG file from your computer.
  • Position: Specifies where the SVG will be placed. For options like "Center" or "Top Left," also specify the SVG's display width. "Cover" or "Contain" will display the SVG over the entire image.
  • Replacement Keywords: This allows you to replace specific text within the SVG with new text entered during workflow execution. Set the target keyword and the default text for the input field.

Output Settings (Workflow Edit Screen)

Configure how the processed image is output.

Original

Outputs the processed image as is.

Output to Fit Paper Size (A4, Custom Paper, etc.)

Places the processed image within a "container" image that has a resolution corresponding to the specified paper size. The resolution of the paper is determined by the DPI value specified in the settings and the actual size of the paper.

  • Center: Places the processed image directly in the center of the paper.
  • Contain: Scales the image to fit entirely within the paper. The entire image will be visible, but there may be margins on the paper.
  • Cover: Scales the image to cover the entire paper. There will be no margins, but parts of the original image may be cropped.
  • Tiled: Arranges multiple copies of the processed image in a tile pattern. This is useful for creating prints for ID photos or other situations where you need multiple copies of the same image.
